About Scott Butler
Scott Butler is the founder and creator of Scott Butler Photography LLC. Known as SaltLife66 on Instagram, Scott’s passion for the sunrise and the sea naturally led him to photography and videography.
Over time, Scott became a citizen scientist, documenting sightings of rare and critically endangered species, such as the smalltooth sawfish, and promptly reporting these encounters to researchers. His work also features Great Hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, manatees, spotted eagle rays, and other marine life.
Scott’s photography is more than just a creative pursuit. It is a way to fulfill a greater purpose: bringing awareness to the importance of protecting ocean wildlife. Through his images, Scott aims to inspire others to appreciate and safeguard the marine world for generations to come.
